1989 - "Outstanding Section 5311 Public Transit Grantee" Eastern Kentucky - Anne Estes and Flora Parker presented the award to Shirley Cummins at Louisville, KY - KYTC/KPTA Conference

1991 - "Outstanding Section 5311 Public Transit Grantee" Statewide Kentucky - Flora Parker and Vickie Bourne presented the award at Bowling Green, KY - KYTC/KPTA Conference

1991 - RTEC's Dispatcher, Janice Vanzant was recognized by Kentucky Public Transit Association (KPTA) as "Dispatcher of the Year"

1993 - "Outstanding Section 5311 Public Transit Grantee" Eastern Kentucky

1993 - Shirley Cummins, Executive Director "Outstanding Transit Manager"

1995 - "Outstanding Section 5311 Public Transit Grantee" Eastern Kentucky

1995 - "Outstanding Participation" Disadvantage Business Enterprises (DBE/WBE) Award co-shared with Northern Kentucky Transit

1997 - "Outstanding Section 5311 Public Transit Grantee" Statewide Kentucky

2001 - Lola Swinney, Transportation Specialist placed second in KPTA Driver's Roadeo and received the KPTA Driver of the Year award.

2001 - Shirley Cummins (center), Executive Director of RTEC and Sue Jeffers (left), Transportation Director, Bluegrass Ultra-transit Service were inducted into the Kentucky Public Transit Hall of Fame.  Vickie Bourne (right), Executive Director of KY Office of Transportation Delivery presented the awards.

2003 - RTEC recognized the KY Office of Transportation Delivery  for its "Outstanding Participation" Disadvantage Business Enterprises (DBE/WBE)

2003 - James C. Nichols, Transportation Specialist placed second in KPTA Driver's Roadeo

2005 - "Outstanding Overall Kentucky Transit System" - During the 2005 KYTC/KPTA Conference - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Office of Transportation Delivery, Paula Cissell, Project Manager and Vickie Bourne, Executive Director presented Shirley Cummins with the award.

2005 - RTEC's Dispatcher, Angie Smith was recognized by Kentucky Public Transit Association (KPTA) as "Dispatcher of the Year".  The award was presented by KPTA Board Member Barbara Chaney.

2005 - Bobby Lawson placed third in the KPTA Driver's Roadeo.  Sue Jeffers, KPTA Vice-President and Chair of the Driver's Roadeo presented the award.  Wanda McCoy, RTEC also participated in the Roadeo.

2005 - RTEC's Golf Team placed third in KPTA's Golf Tournament at Kearney Hills Golf Course.

2007 - RTEC Transportation Specialist Lola Swinney took first place and Bobby Lawson placed second in the KPTA Driver's Roadeo, shown with Linda Proctor, Operations Manager (Center).  Swinney represented Kentucky in the National CTAA Driver's Roadeo in New Orleans, June 2008.  Good luck Lola!
