Intercity Transportation

RTEC operates a demand response intercity route from its service area to the urban areas with stops in between.

A 72 hour advance reservation is required to access non-emergency medical appointments in the urban area.

When one-way trips are made over 30 miles, a service charge may apply.

Need a ride?  Call RTEC 1-800-321-7832.  Transportation routes are designed for accessing employment in the larger cities, with stops along the way for childcare or other services.  Contact the reservation office to make arrangements to access employment or job training.

RTEC makes trips daily Mon-Sat to Lexington.

For next day service, call the reservation office the day before travel is planned for a schedule in your area. A curb-to-curb fare for each ride is $0.80 per mile (minimum $3.00). Cash only.  Same day service/order is higher.

Waiting time charges are applicable at the discretion of RTEC. We request a minimum 2 hour notice for canceling a scheduled ride. Cash fare requests filled on the same day of service will be charged a service fee.
